Swapnapuri

Swapnapuri, a dreamy entertainment world of aesthetic beauty, has been built on about 150 acres of land in Aftabganj of Nawabganj upazila, 52 km south of Dinajpur city. At the entrance of Swapnapuri, there are two white-winged Suvishalparis in the stone-built domes welcoming the tourists in a charming manner. Swapnapuri is a self contained entertainment centre. There is an artificial zoo consisting of precise sculptures of domestic and foreign animals, artificial mountains, artificial fountains and a vast map of Bangladesh made of brick-cement, live animal zoo, children's park, swings, bioscope etc. Another attraction of Swapnapuri is the monolova beauty of rows of green deodar trees and the exquisitely beautiful “Nishippadma” set in the midst of blooming rose gardens on the banks of a vast lake. There are also speedboats and peacock rides in the huge lake, two horse-drawn tomtoms, several flower gardens with various fragrances and beauty and clear water fountains, and attractive rest houses and dak bungalows for relaxation.

How to go:

Swapnapuri is located in Aftabganj of Nawabganj upazila, 52 km south of Dinajpur city. You can go by bus or by rail and get down at Phulbari railway station and take an autorickshaw.
